Cancer Council ACT is very pleased to announce the recipients of the 2016-17 round of research project grants. Funding of $800,000 over three years has been awarded to two projects that will commence in 2017. The recipients are:
- Professor Thomas Preiss and his team from The John Curtin School of Medical Research at The ANU for their project Mechanisms and targets of protein synthesis dysregulation in cancer.
Funding from Cancer Council ACT, $600,000 over 3 years.
- and Professor Geoffrey Farrell and his team from the ANU Medical School for their project How exercise prevents obesity-related hepatocellular carcinoma : insights for chemoprevention of liver cancer.
Funding from Cancer Council ACT, $200,000 over 2 years.
