Support for young people who have a parent with cancer

Posted 13 March 2018 in General

Canteen is currently recruiting for the Truce Program starting in May, a free 7 week program (a 2 hour session per week) for young people aged 14 - 25 who have a parent with cancer. The sessions are based on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and are designed to teach coping skills and strategies for difficult thoughts and feelings around the cancer experience. There is a waiting list, so please encourage any young people interested to register their interest as soon as possible.

The young person does not need to become a member/be a member of CanTeen to participate in the program.

Please contact Margo on 6101 2205 or 0413 431 063 for more information or visit www.canteen.org.au
