Cancer Council ACT invites Canberra teachers and their students to take part in The Critics' Choice with a chance to win a $250 Rebel voucher for your school! One lucky winner will also score a $30 iTunes voucher.
Most adults who smoke first tried cigarettes when they were teenagers. That's why preventing uptake during adolescence is critical to ending the harm caused by cigarettes.
The Critics' Choice aims to encourage upper-primary and secondary students to watch, rate and discuss anti-smoking television advertisements from around the world.
This year will include 9 new advertisements from around the world, a teacher's resource, background information on smoking in Australia and the opportunity for your students to vote on their favourite ad.
The initiative is completely online, making it more accessible, efficient and reliable for all school teachers and students.
Your school will need access to YouTube to view The Critics’ Choice which can be found here. (If this is not possible, you can also download a copy of the Showreel as in MP4 format to show your class.)
