The COVID-19 pandemic has seen us enter uncharted waters and we’ve all had to make decisions never previously contemplated. From day one, the pandemic has generated so many disruptions and has placed some restrictions on how we can support our fellow Canberrans who are impacted by Cancer.
“You have cancer” are words heard by members of the ACT community every single day and unfortunately COVID-19 hasn’t changed that - it’s just added more uncertainty and placed those already affected by cancer, at greater risk.
Like all other charities, we are feeling the impact of the current restrictions. Fortunately, so far, we have been able to continue our mission to provide cancer support through 13 11 20 and online services, education and information - albeit somewhat differently than usual.
Our major fundraising events, that assist us to continue these services, have been significantly impacted though, especially by self-distancing and other restrictions. This means in the longer term, we will be less able to provide these services and fund local cancer research unless we have your help.
We need your support now more than ever.
As we near the end of the financial year, why not consider a Tax Deductable Donation that will provide us with essential funding to continue to run our critical programs and services for those who need it most. We will continue to strive every minute, every hour of every day for a cancer free future.
A big ‘thank-you’, to those of you who have already donated to our Tax Appeal. We couldn’t do what we do without the generosity of people like yourselves and your ongoing support.
