Volunteering

People from all walks of life choose to volunteer with Cancer Council ACT. Some volunteer as a way to give back to the community, to meet and engage with new networks or because they want to do something to combat cancer.

Students and young people often volunteer to gain valuable work experience and skills, and others use their developed skills and experience for the common good.  There are many reasons and motivations behind why people volunteer their valuable time to support Cancer Council ACT.

Several times a year, Cancer Council ACT attends or hosts events that require volunteers. If you'd like to be added to our volunteer list, please click on the sign up link below. We will be in contact with upcoming volunteer opportunities!

Another way of supporting us is by hosting your own fundraiser! Whether a Biggest Morning Tea, a "Yellow" event for Daffodil Day, or something completely different, getting your friends or workmates together can be a fun way to raise funds and help us alleviate the impact of cancer in our local community.
