COVID-19 may have cancelled our event in its original format given the high risk to public health, but we’re fighting back. Cancer never rests so neither will we!
We are pleased and extremely excited to announce that Canberra Relay For Life 2020 remains strong and will continue in a different way - Relay Your Way!
Ignite your imagination and Relay Your Way, in a safe environment, whether it's parading around your Team Captain's backyard (1.5 metres apart) and wearing your new Relay shirt, packing a healthy picnic and walking around the local deserted oval or setting a steps challenge for your team to achieve in their individual homes.
You can still take part in a fun and moving experience that will raise funds to continue Cancer Council ACT's vital research, prevention, advocacy, information and important support services for the ACT community.
We ask you all to be aware of the most recent Government guidelines for social interaction and social distancing. If a lockdown situation occurs, then keep active by beating a path around your dining table if you have to! Remember, ‘where’s there’s a will, there’s a way’.
Due to this unique situation we are all in, we have extended the timing in which you can Relay this year. You can continue as planned for this coming weekend on 28th and 29th March, or you can take up until 30 April 2020 to complete your Relay. This means we will keep registrations open and urge participants to continue fundraising. If you still need to register, you can do so here.
We encourage you to Relay Your Way and celebrate your team's efforts, remember why we Relay and continue to join us in the fight back against cancer.
Celebrate We know how much Canberra Relay For Life means to our community. It is not just an event but an experience that leaves lasting memories and while circumstances are unique, Relay For Life 2020 will be no different. Celebrate what you have achieved so far with your team mates, family and friends!
Celebrate the survivors and carers. Celebrate the funds raised. Celebrate your team's efforts. Celebrate the 21st Anniversary of Canberra Relay For Life.
Celebrate Relay Your Way!
Remember Canberra Relay for Life means different things to each of us. We remember those that are no longer with us and we remember the reasons why we have chosen to fight against cancer.
Relay Your Way and remember to share your event, activity or challenge with us on our Facebook page, we love to see your stories and your creativity.
Due to going virtual, we would like to put a special montage of photos together of the loved ones whom we remember, and our survivors, to share on Facebook, Saturday evening 28th March, on the Cancer Council ACT page. If you would like to participate, please email through a photo by Thursday, 26th March, 5pm, along with the name of your loved one (your hero), your team and any other in-memorium information to events@actcancer.org
Fight Back Keep fundraising so that we can continue the fight against cancer!As the COVID-19 situation continues to evolve, our fundraising efforts will and are already being impacted, so we need your help now more than ever to ensure we can carry on with our vital work to help people affected by cancer in the ACT now and in to the future.

All you need to do to be eligible to win one of these amazing prizes is to reach your individual fundraising goal of $220. Every $100 you raise over your $220 goal will give you another entry into the draw!!
