The Bold Bandannas are the longest running Relay For Life team in the ACT, and will celebrate their 24^th year in 2023. In the year 2000 team captain Rosemary Drabsch answered a call for team registrations when she was looking for a way to give back to her community.

And give back she has! The Bold Bandannas are one of the top fundraisers, winning highest fundraiser 16 times, and have held the top spot for the last 9 years. Even when COVID meant that the event had to run virtually for 2 years, The Bold Bandannas still got out on their own tracks and have raised over 560,000 since they started for Cancer Council ACT’s prevention, support and research programs.

The Bold Bandannas are dedicated to fundraising year-round and as well as receiving donations from friends and family, they put a lot of effort in to hosting local events such as trivia nights, and selling handmade goods such as jams, chutneys, crafts, and potted plants across local Canberra markets.
