Daffodil Day Appeal is Cancer Council’s longest running fundraiser and is much-loved among the Australian community.
As one of the first flowers of Spring, the daffodil symbolises rebirth and new beginnings. To Cancer Council ACT, and those affected by cancer, the daffodil represents hope for a cancer free future.
While the official day is Friday, 28 August, sadly, for the first time ever, our much-loved Daffodil Day will not be site based in our shopping centres throughout our wonderful region, due to COVID-19 physical distancing restrictions.
Instead we’re asking you to give more than hope by donating a virtual daffodil online, or host a yellow-themed fundraiser for your community, school or workplace, any day throughout August. Your amazing support will allow us to continue to fund life-saving cancer research, working towards Cancer Council’s vision of a cancer free future.
